Naito Environmental was formed in 1999 by Gerry Naito, MRM, RPBio, CPESC, to provide specialized environmental consulting services to industry, First Nations, government, community groups, and other clients. Since then, the firm has completed more than 300 projects.
Mr. Naito has over 30 years years of experience in fisheries and environmental assessment in BC and Yukon, including study of the effects of hydroelectric, road and rail, pipeline, forestry, and land development on aquatic and terrestrial habitat, and the design and implementation of habitat mitigation and compensation, restoration, and enhancement measures.
He also has expertise in multidisciplinary environmental assessments such as joint engineering and environmental studies of water resources projects.
Based in Vernon, Naito Environmental is centrally-located in southern BC for good road access to the entire southern interior of the province, while Kelowna International Airport is convenient for air travel.
One of the key advantages of our firm is that the senior biologist, Gerry Naito, carries out most of the work himself, thereby applying his extensive work experience directly to your project instead of relying on junior staff. This can be important when decisions have to be made in the field or on the job site. This arrangement also provides one-on-one contact between consultant and client.
Further details of Gerry’s extensive experience are provided in his resume.
